March is here :)
Well with February finished, March winds blowing things around the old homestead have become very interesting. I have Machine Embroidered, several pieces for cuddle cushions or quilts, made labels for the cuddle cushions and monogrammed Jaxon's name. He hasn't been born yet, but should arrive any day now. Brian is busy working to get the baby's room ready. It will be done in Roll Tide aka University of Alabama. Jaxon's brother and sisters, are busy helping daddy put up the crib, changing table, dresser and new carpet on the floor. Mimi has already painted the room a dove gray to set off the burgundy for Crimson Tide wall hangings. Mimi also has been going through items given to her from friends who have had babies for good used clothes. Babies use up a lot of clothes, diapers, blankets and more. Jaxon’s mama and daddy are ready for him to arrive. He will be called Jaxon Phillip Wood, grandpa Wood is so proud of all his grandchildren that he will beam proudly at Jaxon as he did with Melissa now 18 when she was born. Maw maw Pat is also on pins and needles for Jaxons arrival.
I sent off 10 finished pieces to Q4OC, working to finish up 15 more books marks for Emmaus, one birth announcement and a SAL for AQP quilt to be make and auctioned off this spring. I have the 3rd banner for the church laid out, just need to finish up smaller pieces so that I have that only on my stitching board. My hand cross stitch needle has been turbo charged for the past few months. I guess not seeing to well hasn’t slowed me down any.
February had me going to the eye specialists every week in the hope that my right eye could be made to heal it's self. Finally I had to just stop going as I only had a few Medicaid visits and need them for regular Medical Dr and my cardiologist. So the eye feels as if there is something continually in it, blurry and the socket hurts, but I can live with it. If it gets worse I'll go back. Praying and trusting in God that things will be ok, in his time. I can say the pain in the socket of the eye is like a roller coaster, it’s up at the top then makes a swift dive down to the bottom of the coaster before heading back up again. About like Arthur Arthritis, up down, up down, till you just get use to it and tired of the pain even happening.
This week we have had snow...about 2 to 3 inches in our area, with more falling on the lower part of state. It's cold today of course, doves hunting for food, daffodils, dropping over and trees in bloom shuddering with the thought of freezing off their new young shoots. Ah it's nearly Spring....with dog woods coming into bloom already and Easter will be late in April. Dogwoods will have finished putting out there buds moving on to being fully green.
Well with the children, basketball season is over, games won and loss, were not kept but Brianna and Mason did play in tournaments. Won the first round but there teams lost the second round of play. Will and Bailey are just glad it’s finished. They are now signed up for softball, t-ball, and baseball. So we begin the rush to get Mason to this ball field, Bailey and Will to their field, Brianna over to here’s and there all in town, but about 3 miles apart. Just hope no one has to be at a game with one or more of their siblings at the same time.
Well now remember that Quilts for Older Children has moved to Yahoo Groups and can be found there. They have many older children and seniors in need of stitching love, so if you’re a cross stitcher and should like to do something for someone else drop into each of the below charities.

The Angel Quilt Project has started year nine, we are all busy stitching up panels for quilts for Nic units or cancer children, cuddle cushions and praying for financial help in this most stress filled time for every family out there. We were blessed in February with two cases of pillow forms. These will truly hope us keep the cuddle cushions going to hospitals in our area and state, we truly wish to thank the donor. Jobs are at a minimum and premium so we can understand the need to account for every penny coming into a family. We thank all who continue to stitch, and support this group faithfully.

If you can't afford money and have time on your hands, cross stitch, machine embroidery or quilt at home drop in to see if you might like to help either one of these groups.
Now for something new, I was asked by Diann Snow of The Scrap Garden to join her creative team. I of course did not know what that entailed so inquired of Diann what I would need to do. Well we are learning together, but it seems I would be required to create a LO using one of her kits, write a review of said kit, and create a sale LO. Having done this, I will give you the name of the kit were you can get it, and show you a LO I did using this kit.
First off here is the review of SPRING FLING.
Here is the link to the Scrap Garden store and Diann Snow's kit
http://www.scrappinggarden.com/shop/home.phpWhile there are Easter bunnies, eggs, etc. in this kit, it makes a beautiful spring kit. You have such light delicate papers, flowers; cheerful buttons to make any LO perk up after the long winter blues. This kit says snow season is over, hi ho it's spring, flowers in bloom, looking forward to the greening of the land. If you’re looking for one kit to get to set up LO for spring this is the kit to do it with.

Claudia~ De Colores! I came across your site when searching for "Walk to Emmaus" cross stitch bookmarks. Are you using a Emmaus theme for them or are you using just a Biblical theme.
